- T1000-V2 Gray Titanium/Zirconium, Satin powerful folding knife from the legendary Reate Knives manufactory. Innovative extra lock system that turns a folding knife into a fixed blade knife! Stunning workmanship and best materials!
The T1000-V2 Gray Titanium/Zirconium, Satin is a masterpiece of engineering and design, produced by the renowned Reate Knives manufactory, which has long been renowned among knife connoisseurs around the world. It uses the highest quality materials, such as titanium and zirconium, which provide not only extraordinary durability, but also a sleek, modern look. One of the key features of this knife is the innovative additional locking system, which allows the folding knife to be transformed into a fixed blade knife. This gives the user the confidence that fixed-blade knives offer, while maintaining the size and carrying convenience characteristic of folding knives. The blade is made of top-quality Böhler M390 steel, known for its corrosion resistance and long sharpness retention. The Handle, made of titanium with zirconium inserts, provides not only a striking look, but also excellent ergonomics and a secure grip, which is extremely important during intensive use. Every detail of the T1000-V2 has been carefully thought out and crafted with the utmost precision, it is not only a functional tool, but also a true work of applied art. Ideal for collectors and professionals who appreciate reliability, durability and aesthetics at the highest level.
Reate - an independent brand synonymous with the construction and production of unparalleled quality knives. Its founder, David Deng, a long-time knife enthusiast with experience in mechanical design and manufacturing, constantly strives for excellence and perfection, helped by a professional design team and his own factory. Reate Knives an unconventional brand that has the courage to become an innovator and challenge the traditional solutions used by modern knife companies. It uses only the highest quality materials to produce perfectly crafted tools. Enjoying a well-deserved reputation as a leader in the world of knives, the brand relies on the highest possible quality of workmanship and an innovative approach to design.
M390 - a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), hardened between 59-61 HRC, vacuum and cryogenic treatment and double tempering. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - Drop Point type, finished with elegant satin finish. The elongated belly extends the length of the cutting edge relative to the length of the blade converging toward the needle-sharp tip of the knife. A mixed grind is used here, in the rear part is a concave grind for precision work called Hollow Ground Primary Bevel. In the front part we have a flat grind for heavier work. To improve piercing capabilities, there is a tapered swedge in the upper part. Ball bearing ceramic supports the opening of the blade with a quick flipper (index-finger flipper) when opened acting as a stag. We can also open the knife using a hole in the wedge. The entire blade is locked with the proven and popular frame lock with a steel inlay to prevent wiping of the lock face. Additional security is provided by two steel cylinders above the pivot, which, when pressed, positively lock the Blade giving the confidence to use at par with a fixed blade.
Handle - made of solid titanium 6AL4V, perfectly milled on CNC machine tools. Contouring of the covers eliminates sharp edges. On both sides there is an inlay (insert) made of zirconium. Only a few companies are able to make the Handle with such incredible accuracy! The grips are joined together using a zirconium backspacer. The single-position clip (right), made of zirconium, allows the knife to be carried in tip-up position. On the back, a slide releases an additional lock in the form of two steel cylinders located above the pivot. The lock also works when the knife is closed, preventing accidental opening. The protruding fraction of the backspacer can be used as an improvised glass breaker, and also has a hole for a safety or decorative cord.
