Although the size indicates a keychain character, the design has been refined in every detail, making it a full-fledged EDC tool . The FRN composite handle in the elite cobalt blue color reserved for knives with SPY27 steel blades, featuring Bi-Directional Texturing, provides a stable grip in all conditions - even with wet hands. Rounded edges and undercuts promote ergonomics, regardless of the user's hand size. At the heart of the knife is a blade made of SPY27 steel - a material known for its hardness, abrasion resistance and very long sharpness retention. Modified clip point and full flat grind provide excellent cutting qualities and extra blade strength for tasks that require more force. The SpyderHole allows intuitive one-handed opening, even with gloves. The back lock mechanism with Boye Detent cutout prevents accidental release of the lock, increasing safety. A rope hole in the back allows adding a pendant or threading a paracord. CPM SPY27 - a proprietary blend of alloys including vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, nitrogen and cobalt. The high-alloy stainless steel contains 1.4% carbon and a 1% admixture of niobium (Nb), one of the best carbides, which contributes to the steel's wear resistance. Thanks to its properties, the steel holds sharpness for a very long time and guarantees aggressive cuts for a long time. It is easy to sharpen, corrosion resistant and contains a high admixture of 14% chromium. It provides good strength and cutting edge retention, as well as a fine-grained structure. Produced by US Crucible Industries using the particle metallurgy / Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) method. The CPM process creates a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and toughness compared to steels produced by conventional methods.
Blade - with modified clip point profile was made from advanced SPY27 steel, characterized by exceptional hardness and long edge life. The full flat grind reinforces the blade's construction, enabling efficient cuts with greater resistance, while maintaining precision for delicate tasks. The satin finish gives the Blade an aesthetically pleasing, semi-matte appearance and makes it easy to clean. The SpyderHole allows the blade to be opened efficiently with one hand. In addition, the milling on the back (jimping) provides stable support for the thumb and increases control while working.
Handle - made of FRN composite, a material resistant to weather and mechanical damage. Bi-Directional Texturing significantly improves grip, even in wet hands. The ergonomic form includes rounded edges, an index finger undercut and subtle back profiling. A back lock mechanism with a Boye Detent cutout enhances the safety of use.
