Sleipner - a universal high-alloy chromium-molybdenum-vanadium tool steel with high wear and chipping resistance and a balanced alloy composition: chromium content 7.8% (Cr), 0.9% carbon (C), molybdenum 2.5% (Mo) and vanadium 0.5% (V). Achieves a high hardness of 60-62 HRC. Manufactured at the Uddeholm steelworks.
DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) - the durability of the blade surface is increased by a black, matt nanocomposite coating, which has unique properties such as exceptional hardness and low friction, as well as excellent corrosion protection. It is one of the most scratch and wear resistant coatings used in the industry, including the knife industry.
Blade - classic drop point with a clearly defined belly. Fully coated with black DLC. Blade with a high flat grind, which provides an excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Handle - covered with durable G10 composite grips, a virtually indestructible material that is resistant to weather, chemicals and mechanical damage. The profiled handle ensures perfect ergonomics and a secure grip. The forefinger groove improves grip and prevents the hand from slipping onto the blade. The back of the tang can be used as a window breaker or self-defense tool. There is a hole for a decorative or security cord.
Sheath - made of kydex plastic in black. Prevents the knife from falling out and facilitates quick access. Compatible with the MOLLE standard, it allows the holster to be attached under the M.O.L.L.E. (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) system straps or carried on a belt or equipment.
