- Apnea 9 BE Black Skeleton compact diving knife with a blade for cutting ropes/straps, a hole for shackles and a tool for bolts from spearguns. Made of W 1.4060 stainless steel with nitrogen addition. Includes a multi-position sheath made of PP.

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.

1.4060 (MA5 / X35Cr16N) - martensitic, nitrogen-bearing stainless steel with high hardness. Conventional stainless steel, MA5 steel (X35Cr16N AFNOR standard / 1.4060 Wnr standard) is similar to X46Cr13 steel. Its main advantage is that it offers excellent corrosion resistance as well as better hardness after heat treatment. Hardness and durability are the characteristics of this universal grade. The heat treatment of MA5 / X35Cr16N / 1.4060 steel allows for high hardness (up to 60 HRC) and at the same time makes it resistant to aggressive marine environments.
Regular maintenance of 1.4060 (MA5 / X35Cr16N) stainless steel prevents deposits and maintains its shine. It also makes it easier to remove spots and tarnish. Cleaning should be done before a visible layer of dirt or fingerprints appear, thus minimizing the risk of permanent discoloration of the steel surface. Do not use any cleaning agents that contain chlorine, salt, acids or bleach.
PTFE Black - polytetrafluoroethylene, which is widely used in the coating industry, is an ultra-fine, low-molecular-weight product that is processed using a special process. It is characterized by excellent chemical, weather and temperature resistance, thermal stability, non-stickiness, electrical insulation, fire resistance and self-lubrication. The use of polytetrafluoroethylene as a coating material on the blades reduces friction during use, thus reducing the amount of force required for all kinds of work. Blades coated with PTFE have been shown to require 22% less average force and 26% less maximum force compared to blades coated with chrome.
Blade - Dagger type, sharpened on both sides with excellent cutting properties, finished with a flat grind. One blade completely smooth Plain, the other completely serrated Serrated with a smooth blade a few millimeters long at the tip. The unique serrated blade consists of one large and two small teeth, alternately arranged, the so-called two-step. This pattern increases the length of the cutting edge by up to 24% compared to a smooth blade. Ideal for aggressive cutting of hard materials, plastics and fibrous materials such as ropes or nets. The notched blade can be used to lever open nails or screws under water. The blade has a black PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) protective coating. The blade should be cleaned in fresh water and oiled after each use.
Handle - extension of the blade. For better grip, the edges are rounded and the area around the guard is covered with jimping. The steel crossguard and ergonomic shape of the grips prevent the hand from slipping while working on the blade.
Sheath - made of hard PP polymer with holes for water and moisture drainage. The sheath is equipped with a latch to prevent the knife from slipping out in the water. Two rubber straps and 2 plastic buckles are included with the sheath to allow it to be attached to the shoulder, lower leg or vest.
