The blade of the “Gnome” is made of solid 41Cr4 steel, carefully selected and hand-forged by our master craftsmen. As a result, the blade is extremely hard for efficient wood chopping, yet flexible to prevent splintering and breaking on impact. The surface of the head is not fully sanded, which leaves raw forging marks, giving the axe an authentic traditional character.
The handle is made of selected hickory wood, known for its strength and lightness. This makes the axe comfortable to use even during prolonged work.
