CPM S45VN - a corrosion resistant, mechanical stress resistant American CPM S45VN powder steel with added carbon, chromium and vanadium with a hardness of 58-59 HRC which is a developmental version of the well-known and popular S30V steel. This unique steel is designed for the manufacture of high-grade blades and knives, produced at Crucible Inc.'s steel mills.
Praetorian Swift FL Flipper Drop Point Blue Aluminium / Grey Titanium, Tumbled, has been machine-finished using the 'tumbled' method, the hand-crafted concave grinds give excellent cutting properties combined with high strength. The striking embossing adds to the strength with which the knife is opened. Ball bearings are used for the smooth operation of the opening mechanism, so the knife opens smoothly and silently. When unfolded, the flipper fin acts as a mini guard to protect our hand. A powerful titanium frame lock bar secures the knife against folding, unfolded and secured the knife is as solid as an armoured cash register.
The display side of the handle is blue anodised aluminium, the lock side titanium. The entire piece has been hand-coloured with a torch to create a unique pattern, guaranteeing the uniqueness of this piece. Each subsequent one will have a different pattern, as this is the nature of manual customisation. The whole is completed by a massive clip, also in titanium, of course.
Comes with a Peli-type waterproof case for storing and carrying the knife.
