CPM S45VN - corrosion resistant, mechanical stress resistant American CPM S45VN powder steel with added carbon, chromium and vanadium with a hardness of 58-59 HRC which is a developmental version of the well-known and popular S30V steel. This unique steel is designed for the production of high-grade blades and knives, manufactured at Crucible Inc. steel mills.
The powerful Praetorian T type Drop Point blade, has been machine-finished using the ''tumbled'' method. The concave grinds give excellent cutting properties combined with high strength. Impressive embossing increases the strength, using them to open the knife. For increased insensitivity to contamination, phosphor bronze washer was used, making the pivot axis more resistant to field work. A powerful titanium frame lock bar secures the knife from folding, unfolded and secured the knife is as solid as an armored cash register.
The titanium handle was personalized (custom) by adding a 3D texture (sculpt) called ''Dragon Skin'' by the manufacturer. The whole thing was hand-colored with the help of a torch obtaining a unique pattern, guaranteeing the uniqueness of this copy. Each subsequent one will already have a different pattern, as this is the nature of hand customization. All Praetorian variants are equipped with a backspacer made of tempered steel D2, coated with NP3 which is also a glass breaker. MKT has thoroughly tested these backspacers and found that they are completely reliable and 100% functional. No tricks. There will be no other variants of this backspacer, in a different material or shape, as it is meant to save lives in an emergency, not for decoration. Wear hand and arm protection when testing, as excessive impact force will ALWAYS cause cuts! The whole thing is completed with a solid clip, also made of titanium, of course.
The knife is supplied in a waterproof and dust-resistant - IP67 rated and impact-resistant (MIL-STD-810F) technical case from the American S3 Case Company. Made of high-impact S433 resin - one of the most durable materials available in the world.
It comes - cardboard box, S3 Case, Dog Tag and signed "Certificate of Creation and Authenticity".
