Böhler K110 - equivalent to D2 steel, a high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 59-60 HRC. With a high chromium content of 13.0% (Cr), it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl.

Blade - Drop Point type with scratch-masking Beadblast finish. The curved cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Phosphor bronze washers are responsible for the smooth operation of the blade's opening mechanism, allowing the knife to be opened with a long thumb notch ideal for both right and left-handers. A novelty is the Detachable Thumb Stud, an opening pin that we can unscrew if we want to use the knife in countries where one-handed folding knives are prohibited. The whole thing is locked with a proven and popular frame lock with a steel insert that prevents the lock face from rubbing off.

Handle - is two pieces of solid stainless steel anodized in bronze color. Chamfered edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges for comfort and improve grip security. A large pivot screw is characteristic of Jacob's designs. The open-backed design, so called, fastened together with steel spacer sleeves, reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. Simple, solid construction gives you the assurance of many years of use. A single-position, right-handed deep-carry clip allows the knife to be carried in the tip-up position, with the tip of the blade upward.
