The K1 Dobermann was Extrema Ratio's first design produced in 1997. A typical fighter with an aggressive blade line, it quickly became the company's icon and broke into the tactical knife market. Never reissued, after 25 years it lived to see a limited collector's edition!
N690 - corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with the addition of molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural uniformity. Features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. Achieves a hardness of 57-60 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - with an aggressive Spear Point profile, a thickness of 6.3 mm, a long false blade that increases piercing properties, and a characteristic hole in the blade for improved balance. The high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. At the base of the wedge, a single-sided hilt protects the hand from slipping on the blade.
