D2 - high-carbon tool steel. With a high 10-13% chromium content, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high hardness in the 58-60 HRC range and abrasion resistance.
Blade - drop point type finished with a scratch-masking Black Stonewashed method. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The small thickness of the blade combined with a high flat grind (Flat Grind) gives excellent cutting properties combined with high durability. Ceramic ball bearings support the smooth opening of the blade, which can be opened with an index-finger flipper that acts as a gut when opened. As a result, it can be easily used by both right- and left-handed people. To maintain full control of the blade, the back of the blade is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest. The whole thing is locked with a solid liner lock.
Handle - rough OD green G10 (pressure-pressed fiberglass with synthetic resin) liners, which were screwed to steel liners. The so-called open-backed design without the typical backspacer, attached to each other with steel spacers for easy cleaning. The simple, secure design gives assurance of many years of use.
