LionSteel Myto Blue Titanium, Satin M390 by Molletta (MT01 BL)

Myto Blue Titanium, Satin a technically advanced Hi-Tech folder with a robust frame-lock. An exceptional E.D.C. knife from the Italian LionSteel manufactory. Equipped with M390 sintered steel blade, "ReF" fin on the underside of the blade, Double Crown ball bearing system and titanium clip. It comes with a LionSteel Hand (#HY 68), Torx T6, Torx 8 screw adjustment wrench along with a Hex wrench for the glass striker screw.

Design by Molletta, fruit of a collaboration with a well-known and respected designer with many years of experience. Michele Pensato (a.k.a. Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experimentation in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in knife design.

M390 - a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of "wire" during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), hardened between 59-61 HRC, subjected to vacuum and cryogenic treatments and double tempering. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.

Blade - Drop Point finished in an elegant Satin method. Plain blade derived with Flat Grind which gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Frame-Lock reinforced monolithic 6AI4V titanium blade lock, one of the grip linings acts as a locking mechanism. Located on the underside of the blade, the protrusion / flipper, supported by the Double Crown ball bearing system, facilitates the opening of the blade. In the open position, it serves as a lower guard / hilt protecting the hand from slipping off the handle.

ReF - (Removable Flipper System) located on the underside of the blade protrusion / flipper fin assisted by Double Crown makes it easier to open the blade with one hand. It consists of a small lever (protrusion) that extends beyond the back of the handle when the head is closed. In the open position, the protrusion acts as a stinger, protecting the hand from slipping on the blade. In the folder, it is possible to unscrew the Removable Flipper System lever (unscrew the flipper fin, then insert the second screw included in the box) and open the blade with both hands. This is important in countries where there is a ban on the use of knives with one-handed opening blades in public places.

Double Crown - the Double Crown ball bearing system is an evolution of the standard mechanism. It improves blade rotation, allows faster, even smoother opening of the blade, and keeps the blade stable in a straight line.

Handle - blue-colored liners made of double-milled solid titanium 6AI-4V, attached to a titanium spacer called backspacer / liner coupler. The titanium Solid® clip allows the knife to be carried in tip-up (tip up) position. The clip is screwed to the titanium frame with a tungsten carbide screw / glass striker. In the back of the lanyard hole facings, a hole for a cord.
