Storm Grren G10, Satin unique E.D.C. folder aimed at discerning buyers, combines tactical style with the best materials. A design by respected American knifemaker Rick Hinderer. The folder combines two different blade opening options, a ball-bearing pivot, a titanium clip and the quality of workmanship for which the Viper brand is famous.
M390 Microclean® - a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of "wire" during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - Drop Point type with a clearly marked belly highlights the elegant Satin finish. The small thickness of the blade, combined with a high, flat grind (Flat Grind), results in excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. A ball bearing system assists in the smooth opening of the blade, which can be opened with thumb studs on both sides or with a quick flipper flipper (index-finger flipper). When opened, the flipper forms a mini-guard to prevent the hand from slipping on the blade. Liner-Lock mechanism. On the back of the blade notched upper jumping thumb rest.
Handle - pieces of solid titanium machined in 3D technology to which green G10 facings were attached. The whole screwed to CNC-milled titanium backspacer, which means indestructibility of such construction. A proprietary H.M.B.S. (Hinderer Modular Backspacer System) system was used here, thanks to which we can exchange the backspacer for the one we need most now. A two-position, right/left titanium clip, allows us to carry the knife discreetly in tip-up position (tip sharp up). Spine Jimping notches on the back of the sheaths increase comfort and grip security. At the end of the handle, the backspacer features a lanyard hole, an oval hole for a cord.
