- The Para Military 2 CPM Cru-Wear, a stunning expression of the iconic Para Military 2 combines a CPM CRU-WEAR blade with Micarta linings. The completely flat blade takes advantage of CRU-WEAR steel's reputation for superiority over other steels

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
The Para Military 2 CPM Cru-Wear, a new edition of the iconic Para Military 2 combines a CPM CRU-WEAR blade with classic brown Micarta canvas liners. The completely flat Plain blade capitalizes on CRU-WEAR's reputation for providing and maintaining an edge over other steels, while remaining strong and resilient.
CPM Cru-Wear - a premium high-carbon air-hardening tool steel with a hardness of 60-65 HRC. Produced by US Crucible Industries according to the CPM (Crucible Particle Metallurgy) process as an improvement on the manufacturer's conventional Cru-Wear and D2 steels. Produced according to the CPM process, it is more resistant to chipping and cracking than most conventionally manufactured tool steels. It is not a stainless steel; to qualify as a stainless steel, it must contain at least 12% chromium. CruWear contains 7.5% chromium, but still offers a fair level of corrosion resistance. It contains a high content of 1.1% carbon, 7.5% chromium, 1.6% molybdenum, 2.48% vanadium and 1.15% tungsten, providing a balance for key properties: hardness, impact strength, edge retention, machinability, wear resistance and easy sharpening. It's not easy to find a steel that performs so well in so many categories.
Compression-Lock - (similar to Liner-Lock) Spyderco's (made in USA) patented blade locking mechanism. Extremely durable, it provides extreme strength and ease of use. Located on the back of the handle, it protects the knife from inadvertent locking. When releasing the lock, the fingers are not in the path of the folding blade.
Blade - laser-cut with a modified Clip Point profile, 3.7 mm thick. Glare eliminating Satin Finish (semi-matte) coating. Plain blade is brought out with Full Flat Grind (Full Flat Grind) increasing cutting properties and reducing the weight of the knife. The enlarged 14mm round SpyderHole cutout (Spyderco patent) allows the knife to be opened even with a glove. Prominent Finger Choil - a contoured undercut for the index finger and a notched thumb ramp on the back of the blade increase control of the knife.
Handle - Precision-machined liners are supported by fully skeletonized stainless steel liners, which also form the backbone of the knife's Compression Lock mechanism. They reveal a layered Micarta construction and provide a platform for a four-position pocket clip and a padded lanyard hole that supports all possible carrying positions and preferences.
