- Goccia Carbon Fiber, Satin M390. When Danish knifemaker Jens Anso showed his custom model Neo, it became the dream of the "perfect knife" for many knife lovers. In cooperation with MK a top-quality production version of this model called Goccia was created

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
Goccia Carbon Fiber, Satin when Danish knifemaker and knife designer Jens Anso showed his custom model Neo, it became the dream of the "perfect knife" for many knife lovers. In cooperation with Maniago Knife Makers, a top-quality production version of this model called Goccia was created. Goccia means "drop" in Italian and is meant to symbolize the first water-powered hammers in the forges that started the knife industry in Italy. The name is also reflected in the carefully milled concentric ellipses on the handle which are mesmerizing with their changing surface textures. This version of the knife features a satin-finished drop point blade made of Bohler M390 steel, a carbon fiber handle, a decorative blue collar around the pivot and a gray titanium backspacer.
M390 - a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of "wire" during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - made of the highest quality stainless steel Bohler M390 drop point blade is set on a ball bearing that provides a fast and smooth opening much better than solutions based on pads. Flipper with which we open the knife has been slimmed so that it does not stick out so much above the line of the handle. When opened it creates a mini-guard preventing slipping of the hand on the blade. 4mm thick blade provides high strength while high, flat grind provides excellent cutting properties. The long "belly" of the blade practically extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the head converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife.
Handle - two plates of black Carbon Fiber, perfectly milled on 3D numerical machines into elliptical circles. Here reveals the mastery of Jens Anso's design, the handle is perfectly ergonomic, and the elliptical circles, in addition to their aesthetic function, also play a practical role by increasing grip security. A deep cutout in the lower part creates, together with the flipper, a protection against slipping of the hand on the blade during work. On the inside, in milled out liners there is a steel skeleton of the knife with Liner Lock. In the back we have a massive titanium backspacer with Jens' characteristic Lanyard Hole, a hole for a safety or decorative cord. The titanium, single-position (right) deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position. Thanks to the high attachment of the clip, the knife practically does not stick out of the pocket.
MKM, or Maniago Knife Makers, is a consortium representing knife makers. It is headquartered in Maniago itself, about 100 km from Venice, in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region (Italy). Founded in 1960, the consortium brings together makers of knives, scissors and similar products, and has been promoting local craftsmanship for nearly 60 years. The MKM brand, used in the past, has been refreshed and relaunched to offer new collections created through partnerships with local knife makers. MKM is committed to cutting-edge technology and first-rate creativity, without forgetting more than 500 years of tradition.
