£192.66T5B Tactical Green Canvas Micarta, PVD + Stone Washed a compact version of the tactical M7, the legendary knife from the Italian LionSteel manufactory. The goal was to create a more portable, easier to carry, but still reliable tool with a large blade for any outdoor use. Also aimed at bushcraft, survival and hunting enthusiasts. A knife that will last for years!
Design by Molletta, designed by well-known, respected Italian designer with many years of experience. Michele Pensato (a.k.a. Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experiments in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in the design of knives.
Niolox - a tool steel with good edge holding and high strength. Hardened in the range of 58-60 HRC. It is characterized by aggressive cutting and good impact strength. The name comes from the element niobium (Nb), one of the best carbides, which contributes to the wear resistance of the steel. Niolox contains 0.7% of it. Easy to sharpen with moderate corrosion resistance, it contains 8.5% chromium. Manufactured by Lohmann steelworks in Germany.
PVD + Stone Washed - durability of the blade surface and cutting edge was increased by PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) method consisting in deposition of thin layers from the gas phase and subjected to masking minor scratches finish Stone Washed. Applied coating has a very high hardness, which significantly increases the resistance of the blade to abrasive wear.
Blade - massive Drop Point with a clearly marked belly. Plain blade with Flat Grind provides strength and tapering of the blade towards the tip reduces weight and improves cutting edge geometry. On the back of the blade upper jimping, notched thumb rest for better control of the knife.
Handle - made in Solid® technology, obtained from a unique block (one piece) of waterproof Micarta Green Canvas. This results in a monolithic skeleton (body) of the highest strength, which is a strong, solid construction element. Grip facings have been machined 4D resulting in an anti-slip texture with excellent grip. Enlarged protrusion acts as a hilt protecting the hand from slipping on the blade. Bolt with lanyard hole, can also serve as a hammer.
Sheath- extended, protecting the blade together with part of the handle. Hand sewn, made of natural leather in black with embossed manufacturer logo. The edges of the holster are sewn with double decorative stitching. The holster is fastened with a Prym clasp. The holster is attached to the belt or to the equipment, which enables carrying a knife in upright position.
