8Cr13MoV - An easy to sharpen, stainless knife steel, equivalent to Japanese AUS-8 steel, the high 13.0% chromium and average 0.8% carbon content provides excellent corrosion resistance. The presence of 1.0% silicon, 0.3% molybdenum increases the steel's strength and wear resistance. 8Cr13MoV is characterised by high hardness in the range of 57-62 HRC.
Blade - Drop Point with Full Flat Grind for optimum cutting edge geometry. Finger choil jimping, an arched index finger rest between the handle and the cutting edge and a notched thumb rest increasing the support hump make the knife easier to use. Comet-shaped cut-out for fast opening of the blade. Solid Back-Lock with additional Boye Detent design cut-out to prevent accidental release of the lock when gripping the knife firmly.
Combination Edge - (partially serrated), a combination of a serrated Spyder blade for aggressive cutting of hard materials, plastics, fibers and a classic Plain blade for precise cuts. The Spyder blade consists of one large and two small alternating teeth, the so-called two-step design. This pattern increases the length of the cutting edge by up to 24% compared to a straight blade.
Handle - finished with chamfered stainless steel facings with smoothly ground pins disappearing in a beautiful satin finish.
