CPM S30V - A corrosion-resistant, high-strength American powder steel with carbon, chromium and vanadium with a hardness of 58-59 HRC. This unique steel is designed for the production of high quality blades and knives. Manufactured at Crucible Inc. mills.
Compression-Lock - (similar to Liner-Lock) patented by Spyderco (made in USA) head locking mechanism. Extremely durable, provides extreme strength and ease of use. Located on the back of the handle, protects the knife from unintentional closing. When releasing the lock your fingers are not in the way of the folding head.
Blade - with Leaf-Shaped profile, thickness 3 mm. Plain blade has a Full Flat Grind for enhanced cutting ability. The flat grind guarantees perfect geometry of the cutting edge with a sharp tip, reduces the weight of the knife and presents a beautiful satin finish. The enlarged 14 mm SpyderHole (Spyderco patent) allows opening the knife also with wet, sweaty hands. Finger Choil, arched undercut for index finger and fluted thumb ramp on the back of the blade for efficient operation of the folder.
Handle - black color. Anti-slip Bi-Directional Texturing (Bi-Directional Texturing) grip strengthens the grip even with wet hands. Made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) plastic. Metal hourglass clip with two-position (right/left) attachment. A hole (lanyard hole) in the back of the handle for a safety or decorative cord.
