Native Chief G-10 Black Plain offers all the refined and proven features of the iconic Native 5 knife, plus an approximately one-third longer, more efficient and ultra-slim CPM S30V powder steel blade. CPM S30V - one of the best knife steels, corrosion resistant, mechanical stress resistant American CPM S30V martensitic powder steel with added carbon, chromium and vanadium with a hardness of 58-59 HRC. Developed by Dick Barber of Crucible Industries in collaboration with knife maker Chris Reeve to offer the best combination of strength, abrasion and corrosion resistance. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries according to the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process. The CPM process yields a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The alloy contains 1.45% carbon (C) and a significant admixture of vanadium carbides 4.0% (V) and chromium 10.5% (Cr). Thanks to its properties, it holds sharpness for a very long time and provides high corrosion resistance.

Blade - a smooth blade (Plain type) was made with a full flat cut (Full Flat Grind). Enlarged 14 mm round SpyderHole cutout (Spyderco patent) for ambidextrous thumb opening. The refined, precisely machined mechanism of the Back-Lock blade blockade guarantees a remarkable smoothness of operation. The notched thumb rest (upper jimping) on ​​the back of the blade and the Finger Choil (undercutting the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge) make it easier to control the knife.

Handle - profiled, covered with non-slip textured black linings provides a comfortable and secure grip. Made of durable, resistant to high and low temperatures, chemicals G-10. The linings were attached to a solid spacer (so-called backspacer / handle lining connector) made of stainless steel, which ensures the strength of the structure. The whole thing was attached with torx screws to make it easier to twist and unfold the folder.
