M390MK - thanks to a collaboration between Microtech and Böhler engineers, an exclusive version of M390 steel made only for Microtech was created. The carbon content has been increased and subjected to closer scrutiny thus improving the properties of M390 steel to provide better edge retention, corrosion resistance and polishing. Martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr) doped with 1.95% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.

Ram-Lok™ (Crossbar Lock) - a crossbar that moves horizontally in longitudinal cutouts in the steel side plates of the handle frame. When the knife is opened, the locking bar overlaps the back of the blade from above, preventing its return movement. This element is pressed down by two springs. Unlocking is done by pulling the bar back; its ends are accessible through cutouts in the grips on both sides of the Handle grips. In the locked position, the bar presses against the cam surface at the rear of the blade, preventing it from opening on its own. Advantages of the Ram-Lok lock include high resistance to contamination, practical insensitivity to dynamic loads, ease of operation with both right and left hands, and light, smooth operation of the mechanism.

Blade - machine-ground S/E (Single Edge) Sheepfoot blade , sharpened on one side. The durability of the blade's surface is enhanced by a non-reflective, matte Black Finished nanocomposite coating, characterized by exceptional hardness, low coefficient of friction and excellent corrosion resistance. The blade opens with a hole in the blade (thumb hole), making the knife comfortable to use for both right- and left-handed people . The blade is derived with a high flat grind (Flat Grind), providing excellent cutting edge geometry and exceptional cutting performance. To ensure full control of the blade, an upper jimping, or notched thumb rest, was made on the back of the blade. The entire blade is locked with a convenient and reliable Ram-Lok mechanism .

Handle - made with excellent precision in 3D technology on CNC milling machines from anodized aluminum 6061-T6. For a better grip, the surface of the Handle was covered with a characteristic texture imitating the surface of a fragmentation grenade(Frag Pattern). A wide locking slide with Microtech's characteristic stepped structure(X Button) provides secure and comfortable operation. The grips are connected by a solid aluminum backspacer. A double-sided (right/left) clip allows the knife to be carried discreetly in the tip-up position. Above the clip is a lanyard hole , which is a hole for a safety or decorative cord.
