Edgerati Gray Aluminum, Satin is one of Spyderco's most technically advanced designs , developed by Sal Glesser himself - co-founder of the brand and a pioneer in the field of EDC knife ergonomics. The design was inspired by the “birdcage” frame known from Maserati racing models , which combines rigidity with low weight - the same principles were transferred to the premium folding knife. Handle was precision milled from aircraft aluminum, and then hard anodized. Its openwork structure not only catches the eye with its engineering aesthetics, but also reduces weight, improves balance and increases carrying comfort. The open design allows a glimpse of the mechanism's workings, giving the knife the mechanical character known from the best technical designs. Blade is made of CPM S30V steel, known for its excellent sharpness retention, corrosion resistance and predictable behavior in daily use. The full flat grind and satin finish provide a smooth cut and unobtrusive appearance. The Round Hole™ and choil allow for comfortable and safe handling, regardless of conditions. CPM S30V - one of the best knife steels, corrosion-resistant, mechanical stress-resistant American martensitic powder steel CPM S30V with added carbon, chromium and vanadium with a hardness of 58-59 HRC. Developed by Dick Barber of Crucible Industries in collaboration with knife maker Chris Reeve to offer the best combination of strength, abrasion and corrosion resistance. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries according to the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy(CPM) process. The CPM process yields a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The alloy contains 1.45% carbon (C) and a significant admixture of vanadium carbides 4.0% (V) and chromium 10.5% (Cr). Thanks to its properties, it holds sharpness for a very long time and provides high corrosion resistance.

Compression-Lock - (similar to Liner-Lock) Blade locking mechanism patented by Spyderco (made in USA). Extremely durable, it provides extreme strength and ease of use. Located on the back of the Handle, it protects the knife from inadvertent locking. When releasing the lock, the fingers are not in the path of the folding Blade.

Blade - made of CPM S30V powder steel, valued for its stable cutting edge, high wear resistance and easy maintenance in daily use. The blade profile with a straight back and subtle belly provides versatility - from precision work to utility cuts requiring control. The full flat grind used allows for efficient cutting with low resistance, while making sharpening easier. The satin finish gives the Blade an elegant, technical look, which masks well the traces of use. In addition, a clearly marked choil under the index finger allows the grip to be moved forward, increasing precision for tasks requiring accuracy. The Trademark Round Hole™ is not only a Spyderco hallmark - it's a functional element, allowing the knife to be opened quickly and intuitively with one hand. Handle - made of anodized aircraft-grade aluminum, which combines lightness with resistance to damage and weathering. Openwork structure, inspired by sports car racing frame designs, allows to reduce weight, while improving grip and cooling of the hand during intensive work. Precision CNC milling ensures perfect fit of all components and emphasizes the technical nature of the design. The open design exposes the operation of the Compression Lock® mechanism, which is integrated in a maximally simplified and functional way. The ergonomic profile of the Handle fits well in both bare and gloved hands, offering stability and control regardless of the grip. The whole design is complemented by a tip-up clip with the option of mounting on the left or right side, allowing for discreet and comfortable carrying.
