LionSteel Q4ttro Knife Gray Titanium/ Fat Carbon, Satin MagnaCut by Molletta (Q4 GY)
- Q4ttro Gray Titanium/Fat Carbon, Satin - LionSteel lightweight EDC folding knife designed by Michele “Molletta” Pensato. Handle made of titanium, blade made of CPM MagnaCut steel. The ReF system allows four ways of opening .

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
Q4ttro Gray Titanium, Satin is an advanced EDC folder designed by Michele “Molletta” Pensato - an Italian knifemaker known for his innovative solutions. The design of the model is based on an elegant, lightweight 6Al-4V titanium frame, enriched with a FatCarbon composite insert , which provides not only an interesting visual effect, but also increased grip. At the heart of the design is a Blade made of CPM MagnaCut powder steel , which combines very high corrosion resistance with excellent sharpness retention and mechanical resistance - qualities desirable in everyday tools with increased durability. The satin finish adds a technical, elegant touch and reduces the visibility of signs of use. The Q4ttro features the innovative ReF (Removable Flipper System), which allows the user to choose from four forms of opening: classic flipper, front flipper, nail hole or ambidextrous unfolding. Frame lock mechanism, ceramic bearings and titanium deep carry clip complete the package, making the Q4 model an exceptionally functional and ergonomically optimized premium EDC tool - for the most demanding users.
Michele “Molletta” Pensato, an Italian knife designer with a passion for archaeology, has turned his love of adventure into the high-end craft of knife design. His career began with an archaeological dig, where he realized the need for a durable knife. Known for his innovative approach to materials and experiments with heat treatment, Pensato has won numerous awards. His designs for lionSTEEL, such as the popular T5 and the award-winning SR11, are distinguished by their practicality and typically Italian rounded shapes. Knife design, although just a hobby for him, has resulted in significant contributions to the lionSTEEL collection.
CPM MagnaCut - a powder stainless steel produced by the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process hardened to 60.5-62.5 HRC. The high content of vanadium 4.0% (V), molybdenum 2.0% (Mo) and niobium 2.0% (Nb) guarantees accuracy and purity unmatched by more “conventional” steels. Designed and developed specifically for blade production by Larrin Thomas, it meets all the requirements of knife enthusiasts. With CPM MagnaCut succeeded in creating a steel that combines the unique properties of knife steels like no other. The result is a blade material that offers a remarkable balance of wear resistance, strength and corrosion resistance. There is no other steel on the world market today that offers a comparable combination of superior properties. This exceptional steel is manufactured at Crucible® Industries' American steel mills.
Blade - has a drop point profile, providing full control of cutting in varied daily tasks. The CPM MagnaCut powder steel used is characterized by excellent edge stability, very high corrosion resistance and the ability to maintain sharpness for a long time. This material was developed for premium utility knives, where not only performance but also durability counts. The flat grind used enables aggressive cutting while maintaining control, while the satin finish of the blade surface reduces drag and gives the tool a subdued, professional look. Thanks to the ReF system , the user can adjust the way the blade opens to his own preferences and working conditions - making the Blade not only effective, but also versatile in use.
ReF - (Removable Flipper System) in the folder, it is possible to unscrew the Removable Flipper System lever (unscrew the flipper fin, then insert the second screw located in the box) and open the blade with both hands. This is important in countries where there is a ban on the use of knives with one-handed opening blades in public places.
Handle - made of milled titanium 6Al-4V, known for its lightness and exceptional mechanical resistance. Thanks to the use of anodizing, the construction gains additional protection against oxidation and weathering. The FatCarbon insert adds visual uniqueness and improves grip, facilitating stable knife handling. The contoured handle with rounded edges allows for a comfortable and secure grip, even with prolonged use. The integrated frame lock mechanism enhances work safety, and the double -sided titanium deep-carry clip allows low-profile carrying of the knife - regardless of the user's dominant hand. Ergonomics, aesthetics and functionality combine comprehensively in this model, offering an excellent next-generation EDC tool.
Additional accessories - Torx T6, Torx 8 screw adjustment wrench.
