Selvans Black Forprene, Exp Dark is a technically advanced outdoor knife, created as a result of close cooperation between the Italian brand Extrema Ratio and survival expert Daniele Dal Canto. Based on the proven design of the original Selvans, a version with even higher performance parameters has been created – with professionals operating in environments where reliability is non-negotiable in mind. The blade is made of Böhler S600 tool steel, hardened and cryogenically treated, and is characterized by exceptional hardness (64 HRC) and abrasion resistance, allowing for intensive use in the most demanding conditions. The EXP DARK coating reduces light reflection and enhances corrosion protection, resulting in discretion and durability. The Forprene handle, known for its resistance to weather and chemicals, ensures a secure grip in all conditions, from mud to rain. The whole is complemented by a MOLLE-compatible Cordura sheath, which allows for a variety of carrying options. The Selvans S600 is a tool for those who do not compromise in the field.

S600 - a type of steel you don't often see! High-speed steel with a high molybdenum and tungsten content and good vanadium content, providing excellent hardness, wear resistance and strength. The presence of cobalt promotes the formation of small, evenly distributed carbides that increase wear resistance. S600 is hardened and cryogenically treated to achieve an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC. This provides high wear resistance and good edge retention. Manufactured in the Austrian steelworks Böhler-Uddeholm.

Blade - Drop Point profile with a full flat grind, which allows for a balance between cutting precision and ability to work under load. Thanks to this design, the knife is ideal for tasks requiring both delicacy and strength - from fine wood preparation to batoning. Böhler S600 steel has been hardened and cryogenically heat treated to achieve a hardness of 64 HRC and resistance to microcracks and abrasion. The EXP DARK coating gives the blade a matte finish, reducing light reflection and increasing resistance to moisture and aggressive environments. This blade is designed for the realities of difficult terrain, offering durability, reliability, and optimal geometry for efficiency, control, and comfort during long-term use in the field.

Handle - made of Forprene, it has been designed with full ergonomics and functionality in mind. This flexible yet durable material ensures a secure grip in all conditions, whether your hands are wet or you are wearing tactical gloves. The handle profile supports the natural positioning of the fingers, reducing fatigue during prolonged use and allowing for safe knife handling with various grip techniques. A lanyard hole in the rear allows for additional security or easy attachment to equipment. The rigidity of the entire structure is ensured by a full tang construction, thanks to which the knife can withstand high mechanical loads. It is a comprehensive survival solution, ready for any challenge.

Sheath - thigh sheath made of abrasion-resistant, waterproof nylon, with the possibility of attaching to M.O.L.L.E. (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment). The sheath allows the knife to be carried on a belt or on a vest compatible with the MOLLE system. The lower part of the sheath is fastened with a Velcro strap, allowing it to be attached to the thigh.
