14C28N - martensitic stainless chromium steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by the Swedish steelworks Sandvik. The optimized chemical composition with a unique combination ensures the highest quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the carbon content to 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content to 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen to 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly increased. Blade - slim, Dagger type, finished with a Stonewashed finish to mask small scratches caused during use, then coated with a black coating. Plain blade, single-edged (Single Edge), Flat Grind, gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The extension at the handle forms a guard to prevent the hand from slipping onto the blade. The choil facilitates sharpening.
Handle - grips made of rough G10 composite, a weather-resistant, chemical-resistant and mechanically durable plastic, which are screwed directly onto the tang. The profiled shape and deep knurling ensure a comfortable, secure grip even with wet hands. Theforefinger groove improves grip and prevents the hand from slipping onto the blade. There is a hole for a decorative or safety cord (a braided paracord lanyard is included with the knife).
Sheath - made of black kydex, securely holds the knife in place. Equipped with a T-Clip attachment designed by Bob Terzuola, allows for multi-position (right/left, vertical/horizontal) carrying of the sheath with a fixed blade on a belt or gear. T-Clip works similarly to Tek-Lok and allows the user to adjust the way it is worn to their individual preferences. The fiberglass-reinforced T-Clip includes a set of screws and a pair of plastic washers.
