The handle is made of durable titanium 6AL4V, ensuring a firm grip even in difficult conditions. Its ergonomic profile makes it fit comfortably in the hand, increasing user comfort. The opening mechanism based on ball bearings allows for smooth blade operation. The reliable frame lock ensures safety during use. This practical tool will prove itself in everyday tasks, offering reliability, excellent materials and high-quality workmanship.
Jelly Jerry is a 22-year-old knife designer from Vietnam, whose first designs were created in 2017, at the age of 16. Jerry's designs are intended to be fun, yet highly functional and durable. He believes that every design should be ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing, as well as functional as a tool. The main rule is not to sacrifice the knife's functionality for the design!
Kubey is one of the largest manufacturers of high-quality knives at a great price! The company's motto is “An Edge Above the Rest”. Thanks to the use of high-speed CNC machine tools, milling machines, laser cutting and custom manual finishing, the brand focuses on quality workmanship and an innovative approach to design.
M390 - a martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced using powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it is characterized by extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Thanks to its high wear resistance, it retains its edge shape, keeping the blade sharp for a very long time (requires minimal maintenance). Another advantage is its resistance to “wire” formation during sharpening. Steel with a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) and an admixture of 1.9% carbon (C), 4.0% vanadium (V), hardened to 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Vacuum & Cryogenic - CPM 20CV steel undergoes a specialized heat treatment process involving two key stages. Vacuum Heat Treatment: the steel is hardened in a vacuum environment, which minimizes oxidation and ensures more uniform metal properties. This process increases the strength and structural integrity of the steel. Cryogenic Treatment: After heating, the steel is rapidly cooled to extremely low temperatures, often below -100°C (-148°F). This transformation changes the residual austenite into martensite, significantly increasing the hardness, wear resistance and overall durability. Thanks to these advanced processes, CPM 20CV steel ensures exceptional performance, offering both razor-sharp edge retention and extraordinary blade durability.
Blade - wide, sheepsfoot type, finished with a beadblasted finish to mask minor scratches caused during use. The gently curved cutting edge converges towards the tip of the blade. The thickness of the blade in combination with the high, flat grind results in an excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings ensure smooth and easy operation and support the opening of the blade with the flipper fin (index-finger flipper) after opening the crossguard. The knife can also be opened using the thumb hole on the blade. On the back of the blade, there is an upper jimping, a corrugated support for the thumb. The knife is locked with a proven and popular frame lock with a steel inlay that protects the lock face from being worn down.
Handle - grips made of titanium 6AL4V, a virtually indestructible metal, impervious to weather, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. Longitudinal holes are milled into the grips to improve handling. The titanium backspacer to which the grips are attached guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire structure. The simplicity and robustness of the design ensure many years of use. Ergonomic finger recess for easy grip of the handle. Pivot decorated with stylized manufacturer's logo. Single position (right) titanium deep carry clip allows the knife to be carried discreetly in the pocket in a tip-up position (with the tip of the blade up). Lanyard hole above the clip. Pivot axis, clip and backspacer anodized in blue-green.
