Kubey KB Knives Common Thread Gray Titanium/Watermelon Sugar Camocarbon, Stonewashed M390 by Justin Lundquist (KB377B)
- Common Thread Gray Titanium/Watermelon Sugar Camocarbon, Stonewashed folder EDC designed by Justin Lundquist. Comfortable handle of titanium and carbon fiber. Blade made of Böhler M390 steel, considered one of the best on the market. An excellent tool!

Common Thread Gray Titanium/Watermelon Sugar Camocarbon, Stonewashed is a compact EDC folder designed by Justin Lundquist. The blade is made of Böhler M390, considered one of the best knife steels, vacuum-hardened and subjected to a cryogenic stabilization process. This gives the blade exceptional abrasion resistance and long-lasting cutting edge retention. The handle is titanium inlaid with Watermelon Sugar Camocarbon carbon fiber, combining elegant and modern aesthetics. The liner lock guarantees safety and security during use, eliminating the risk of accidentally folding the blade. Thanks to the use of ball bearings, the knife opens smoothly and quickly. The titanium clip allows for comfortable tip-up carrying.
Justin Lundquist - his fascination began when he received his first knife from his mother at the age of just 4. It was a small fixed blade to complement his fishing gear and toolbox. Over the years, he built up a small collection of inexpensive production knives. He was always drawn to the variety of shapes and designs, while maintaining the functionality of utility tools. After graduating with a degree in Fine Art Photography and working in the industry for over a decade, he stumbled upon the world of handmade custom knives. He gathered as much information as possible and started designing and creating knives himself. In 2013, he slowly began to manufacture his own knives. He strives to create practical EDC knives with clean lines, shapes and transitions. By mixing classic and modern, he hopes to create designs that will stand the test of time.
Kubey is one of the largest manufacturers of high-quality knives at a great price! The company's motto is “An Edge Above the Rest”. By using high-speed CNC machine tools, milling machines, laser cutting and custom hand finishing, the brand focuses on quality workmanship and an innovative approach to design.
M390 - a martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced using powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it is characterized by extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Thanks to its high wear resistance, it retains its edge shape, keeping the blade sharp for a very long time (requires minimal maintenance). Another advantage is its resistance to “wire” formation during sharpening. Steel with a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) and an admixture of 1.9% carbon (C) and 4.0% vanadium (V), hardened to 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Vacuum & Cryogenic - CPM 20CV steel undergoes a specialized heat treatment process involving two key stages. Vacuum Heat Treatment: the steel is hardened in a vacuum environment, which minimizes oxidation and ensures more uniform metal properties. This process increases the strength and structural integrity of the steel. Cryogenic Treatment: After heating, the steel is rapidly cooled to extremely low temperatures, often below -100°C (-148°F). This transformation converts retained austenite into martensite, significantly increasing hardness, wear resistance and overall durability. Thanks to these advanced processes, CPM 20CV steel ensures exceptional performance, offering both razor-sharp edge retention and extraordinary blade durability.
Blade - classic drop point, finished with a stonewashed finish to mask minor scratches caused during use. The thickness of the blade in combination with the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings are responsible for smooth and smooth operation of the mechanism and assist in opening the blade with the help of a hole in the blade. The whole is locked with a proven and popular liner lock.
Handle - made of titanium 6AL4V, a material with extremely high mechanical strength and virtually complete resistance to weather conditions and chemicals, with perfectly fitted inlays made of Watermelon Sugar Camocarbon composite. The whole is screwed to a solid backspacer, also made of titanium 6AL4V. The simple, solid construction guarantees many years of use. The single-position (right) titanium deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in a tip-up position (with the tip of the blade up).
