Wander Tactical was founded in 2015 by two enthusiasts: Dino Picco, born in 1968 in Milan, and Alessandro “Alex” Bassi, born in 1979 in Lodi, near Milan. Niolox - tool steel with good edge retention and high strength. Hardened to 58-60 HRC. It is characterized by aggressive cutting and good toughness. The name comes from the element niobium (Nb), one of the best carbides, which contributes to the steel's wear resistance. Niolox contains 0.7% of it. Easy to sharpen with moderate corrosion resistance, it contains 12.7% chromium (Cr). Produced by the German steelworks Lohmann.
Blade - wide, drop point type, finished with an acid bath to provide a protective coating for the steel surface. The precision-ground blade with a long grain offers a balance between edge retention and resistance to chipping. The plain blade with a clearly defined belly and a high flat grind provides excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. On the back of the blade, the upper jimping, a corrugated thumb rest, facilitates control of the knife during precision work. The lower part of the blade extends downwards to form a guard, preventing the hand from slipping onto the blade. The wide finger choil allows the user to hold the knife closer to the blade for precise work.
Handle - profiled grips made of G10, a virtually indestructible material resistant to weather conditions, chemicals and mechanical damage. The beveled edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges and the surface texture improves grip. The handle covers are attached to the shaft with Torx screws. The low-slung lower guard and Fore Finger Groove, a deep cut under the finger, prevent the hand from accidentally slipping onto the blade.
Sheath - made of Kydex. It allows for quick drawing of the knife and protects it from falling out. A set of holes on the edges allows for adjusting the way of carrying to the individual preferences of the user.
