N690 - corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with added molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural homogeneity. It is characterized by exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. It reaches a hardness of 57-60 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade: classic drop point, thickness 6.0 mm. The blade has a stonewashed finish to hide minor scratches caused by use, and is then coated with MIL-C-13924. The blade is plain with a flat grind. The high belly of the cutting edge significantly increases its length in relation to the length of the blade.
