14C28N - a martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by Sandvik's Swedish mills. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Blade - wide, Drop Point profile, finished with Stonewashed method masking minor scratches formed during use, and then coated with a black coating. On the back of the wedge is a jimping, notched ramp, under the thumb, enhancing control during precision work. High, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Extremely high and long belly increases cutting efficiency, while the choil facilitates easier sharpening.
Black Stonewashed - a finishing method that combines two techniques. Stonewashed, the blade is subjected to a process of “stones bath,” which makes minor scratches created during use less visible. This is followed by a Dark Coating, applying a non-reflective black layer over the blade. The result is a unique, aged appearance with a matte, dark finish that is both stylish and practical.
Handle – made of textured G10 (glass fiber compressed with synthetic resin) scales with a distinctive surface texture, fastened directly to the tang. The contoured shape ensures a comfortable and secure grip, even with wet hands. A forefinger groove enhances grip stability and prevents the hand from slipping onto the blade. The exposed tang at the rear can function as a glass breaker or a self-defense tool. Lanyard hole for decorative or safety cords (includes a braided paracord lanyard).
Sheath – crafted from black Kydex, securely holding the knife in place. Equipped with a T-Clip mount designed by Bob Terzuola, it enables multi-positional (right/left, vertical/horizontal) carrying on a belt or gear. The T-Clip, functioning similarly to a Tek-Lok, offers belt attachment for fixed-blade knife, allowing users to customize their carrying preferences. T-Clip reinforced with fiberglass (FRN), includes a set of screws along with a pair of plastic washers.
