Medford USMC Fighter Flipper Bronze Titanium, Black DLC HW/Clip, Black DLC is a large men's folding knife that's as comfortable on the job as it is in your pocket when you're walking around town. There's really a lot going on in this design: retro-style Handle milling, drop-point blade, integrated Pommel, and a unique clip to hook onto the edge of your pocket. The hollow grind on the blade has been crafted by hand - a rarity in the knife industry, achieved by only a select few manufacturers capable of executing such precision. There really is NOTHING like the USMC Fighter Flipper in the world of knives. CPM S45VN - American martensitic high-alloy stainless steel with a hardness of 59-61 HRC, one of the best blade steels. Designed to provide better strength compared to CPM S30V, while keeping corrosion resistance at the highest level. Produced by US Crucible Industries using the particle metallurgy / Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) method. The CPM process creates a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The chemical composition has been balanced so that it is composed of 0.5% niobium carbides (Nb) along with 3.0% vanadium (V) and 14.0% chromium (Cr) carbides. The improved strength of CPM S45VN also provides better resistance to edge chipping.

DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) surface durability of the blade is enhanced with a matte black nanocomposite coating, which exhibits unique properties such as exceptional hardness and low friction, as well as excellent corrosion protection. It is one of the most resistant coatings to scratches and abrasion that are used in the industry, including the knife industry.

Blade - solid with Drop Point profile coated with black DLC coating. The handcrafted hollow grinds give excellent cutting qualities combined with high strength.
