The arc of the cutting edge elongates it in relation to the Blade's width. The thickness of the blade, combined with the flat grind, gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. To facilitate control of the blade, the rest of the edge is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest.
