211,35 €This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
The LionSteel SR11A Orange Aluminum, Black is a flagship example of the Italian school of folding knife design, continuing the award-winning SR series. Created by Michele “Molletta” Pensato, this model uses Solid® technology (integral) - the body of the Handle is milled from a single block of aluminum, ensuring maximum rigidity and perfect fit of the components. This folder was created for users who expect more than a standard EDC - they are looking for the solidity of a fixed blade knife in a folding form. Blade made of Sleipner steel is characterized by excellent abrasion resistance and stable working edge, and drop point profile provides versatility. The opening mechanism based on IKBS ball bearings works with exceptional smoothness - unfolding the blade with a flipper is fast, quiet and intuitive. Handle made of anodized aluminum is not only eye-catching, but also guarantees lightweight and durable design. The milled surface increases grip, and the ergonomic profile fits well in the hand even during long work. The frame lock mechanism used is complemented by the Rotoblock system, which prevents the frame lock from bending beyond a safe range and wedges the lock mechanism, preventing unintentional release of the blade lock, provides the stability of the blade identical to that of fixed blade knives. A glass breaker made of hardened steel and a deep carry clip complete the knife's functionality, making it a tactical tool with premium aesthetics. The SR11A is a model that excels in dynamic field conditions, everyday EDC and situations requiring absolute reliability. It is not only a tool, but also an expression of Italian design, engineering and confidence in detail.
Michele “Molletta” Pensato, an Italian knife designer with a passion for archaeology, has transformed his love of adventure into the high-end craft of knife design. His career began with an archaeological dig, where he realized the need for a durable knife. Known for his innovative approach to materials and experiments with heat treatment, Pensato has won numerous awards. His designs for lionSTEEL, such as the popular T5 and the award-winning SR11, are distinguished by their practicality and typically Italian rounded shapes. Knife design, although just a hobby for him, has resulted in significant contributions to the lionSTEEL collection.
Sleipner - a versatile high-alloy chrome-molybdenum-vanadium tool steel with high wear and chipping resistance with a balanced alloy composition: chromium content of 7.8% (Cr), 0.9% carbon (C), molybdenum 2.5% (Mo) and vanadium 0.5% (V). It achieves a high hardness of 60-62 HRC. Manufactured at Uddeholm steel plant .
Blade - blade with drop point profile , made of Sleipner tool steel , known for its high resistance to microcracking and abrasion. The flat grind ensures an even cut. The opening system is based on IKBS ball bearings, which translates into immediate and smooth response of the blade to the user's movement. The flipper allows convenient and quick one-handed operation.
IKBS - (ball bearing system) allows fast, smooth opening of the blade.
Solid Frame-Lock - a reinforced, monolithic locking mechanism of Ergal aluminum blade. One of the grips acts as the locking mechanism and is reinforced with a hardened steel inlay.
RotoLock - a lock with a patented additional locking mechanism in the shape of a titanium shield by Gianni Pauletta. When the knife is open, turning the RotoLock about 1/8 of a turn clockwise wedges the locking mechanism, preventing unintentional release of the blade lock, provides stability of the blade identical to knives with a fixed blade.
Handle - integral aluminum handle, made by CNC method, creates an extremely rigid and lightweight construction with high resistance to damage. The milled texture improves grip, and the ergonomic curves facilitate a firm grip even with gloves. The frame lock system ensures stable locking of the blade, and the Rotoblock safety feature eliminates the risk of accidental folding. The back of the Handle features a glass breaker made of hardened steel and a deep-carry clip, allowing for low-profile carry. This is a Handle designed for use in all conditions, without compromise.
