CPM S35VN - American martensitic high-alloy stainless steel with a hardness of 59-61 HRC, one of the best blade steels. Designed to provide better strength compared to CPM S30V, while keeping corrosion resistance at the highest level. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries using the particle metallurgy/ Crucible® Particle Metallurgy(CPM) method. The CPM process creates a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The chemical composition has been balanced so that it is composed of 0.5% niobium carbides (Nb) along with 3.0% vanadium (V) and 14.0% chromium (Cr) carbides. Replacing some of the niobium carbides with vanadium carbides makes the steel about 15-20% harder than S30V without sacrificing wear resistance, and it is also easier to machine and polish. The improved strength of CPM S35VN also provides better resistance to edge chipping.

Blade - classic Bowie (Clip Point) with a striking Two Tone finish, Bead Blasted skeletonized grind, the rest finished with an elegant satin finish. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge relative to the length of the blade converging toward the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength whilethe high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. On the back, a long swedge improves piercing characteristics. Ball bearing ceramic supports the opening of the blade with a quick flipper (index-finger flipper) when opened acting as a stag. We can also open the knife with the help of an oblong hole in the wedge. A section of the back of the wedge is covered with an upper jimping, a notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife. The whole thing is locked with the proven and popular frame lock with a steel inlay to prevent wiping of the lock face.

Chamfered cover edges eliminate sharp edges and distinctive surface texturing improves grip security. The massive backspacer to which the grips are attached guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire structure. A single-position, right-handed clip allows the knife to be carried in tip-up position , with the tip of the blade upward. Above the clip a lanyard hole, a hole for a safety or decorative cord.
