M390 Microclean® - a martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 20.0% (Cr) doped with 1.9% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), hardened between 59-61 HRC, vacuum and cryogenic treatment and double tempering. Blade - a wide Sheepfoot blade , finished with a Stonewashed pebble bath masking minor scratches. Despite its thickness, the full flat grind provides excellent cutting qualities combined with superb durability. A low descending guard keeps fingers from slipping on the blade while working. Upper jimping long textured thumb rest, as well as finger choil (deep textured finger notch) make it easier to maintain control of the knife while working.
Handle - ergonomically profiled with finger notches. 3D machined grips made of innovative Suretouch composite, a combination of G10 and rubber.
