Nitro-V stainless martensitic chrome-based knife steel introduced by New Jersey Steel Baron(NJSB). The manufacturer used the existing superior AEB-L knife steel and upgraded it with nitrogen and vanadium to improve edge performance and achieve high hardness and extreme corrosion resistance, especially crucial in the marine industry and humid environments. Nitro V can be used in diving knives because of its resistance to staining and corrosion. The recommended working hardness is between 58-62HRC, and it has very good impact strength compared to other steels. It is harder than stainless powder steels such as M390, Elmax and S35VN. Therefore, Nitro-V will be a good fit for knives that require good toughness.

Blade - wide, Drop Point type with a clearly marked belly, finished with an elegant satin finish. The versatile blade combined with a high flat grind (Flat Grind) gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearing ceramic supports the smooth operation of the blade's opening mechanism, which can be opened with a quick f lipper flipper (index-finger flipper). When opened, the flipper forms a mini-guard to prevent your hand from slipping on the blade. Finger choil, an index-finger undercut between the Handle and the cutting edge, and an upper jimping notched section of the Blade's back for the thumb make it easy to hold securely during precision tasks The entire blade is locked with the proven Liner Lock.

Handle - grips made of exotic Guibourtia wood with a unique grain pattern, which were screwed to steel liners. The fore finger groove made at the front improves grip security. The open-backed design, fixed with steel spacer sleeves, reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. The simple, secure design gives assurance of many years of use. The deep-carry, two-position (right/left) clip allows the knife to be carried in tip-up position (tip up). The pivot is decorated with a stylized Civivi brand logo .

Case - comes with a zippered soft nylon case with the manufacturer's logo for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
