14C28N - a martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by Sandvik's Swedish mills. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Blade - Dagger type for precision work and cutting, with a geometrically marked belly finished with a scratch-masking Stonewashed method. The small thickness of the blade combined with a high flat grind (Flat Grind) gives an excellent cutting edge profile and extreme cutting performance. The washer supports the smooth operation of the mechanism that positions the wedge in one of two settings (Fixed or Push Dagger).
Handle - made of rough G10 (pressure-pressed fiberglass with synthetic resin) with a distinctive surface texture, beveled cover edges eliminate sharp edges. Artful milling improves grip confidence. Sliding and un-sliding Handle allows you to quickly change the function of the knife. A fore finger groove improves grip confidence in the Fixed position, and in the Push Dagger position creates room for clenched fingers. Handle design is symmetrical which allows both right and left-handed people to use the knife without problems. The pivot is decorated with a stylized Civivi Knife brand logo.
