Damascus - Damascus stainless steel blade with a unique pattern. The blade, consisting of two different types of steel, was forged and assembled together in different ways obtaining this amazing pattern. It is characterized by high hardness in the range of 58-60 HRC
Blade - Modified Wharncliffe type finished with etching that highlights the unique damascus patterns. The small thickness of the blade combined with a high flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearing ceramic supports the smooth operation of the blade's opening mechanism, which can be opened by gravity with a release button on one of the Handle, a double-sided pin in the blade, or with a quick flipper flipper (index-finger flipper). When opened, the flipper forms a mini-guard to prevent the hand from slipping on the blade. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. The entire blade is locked with a solid button lock. Under the lock button there is a resisting spring, which prevents accidental release of the lock.
ULTEM™ - a plastic belonging to the family of Polyethermoids or simply PEI. This material is characterized primarily by high mechanical and impact strength with a very high strength-to-weight ratio. It is also characterized by high thermal resistance (180⁰C) and high chemical resistance to all kinds of solvents (synthetic and natural), lubricants or other chemicals. Adding to this total insensitivity to weather conditions, we get an ideal material for knife handles.
Handle - grips made of sandblasted, transparent Ultem™ plastic, which were screwed to steel liners. Chamfered edges of the liners eliminate sharp edges for a comfortable and secure grip. An open-backed design attached with steel spacer sleeves reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. The pivot axis is decorated with a stylized Civivi brand logo. A two-position, right/left deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up).
Case - the knife is packed in a zippered soft nylon case with the brand's logo. It is used for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
