Jesper Voxnaes began creating knives in 1989, when he was just 18 years old, forging each blade completely on his own. His unique style stems from the meeting of his roots in world-renowned Scandinavian design with his passion for American knifemaking. This original approach meant that his knives quickly became very popular, especially in the US, so much so that he was able to expand his business with machines he made himself. CPM MagnaCut - powder stainless steel produced by the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy(CPM) process hardened to 60.5-62.5 HRC. The high content of vanadium 4.0% (V), molybdenum 2.0% (Mo) and niobium 2.0% (Nb) guarantees accuracy and purity unmatched by more “conventional” steels. Designed and developed specifically for blade production by Larrin Thomas, it meets all the requirements of knife enthusiasts. With CPM MagnaCut succeeded in creating a steel that combines the unique properties of knife steels like no other. The result is a blade material that offers a remarkable balance of wear resistance, strength and corrosion resistance. There is no other steel on the world market today that offers a comparable combination of superior properties. This exceptional steel is manufactured at Crucible® Industries' American steel mills.
Blade - expanding towards the tip, drop point type. Stonewashed finish followed by a black coating. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade, converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The blade is opened by means of a quick flipper (index-finger flipper or an opening available on both sides of the blade. The entire blade is locked with the proven and popular frame lock.
Handle - made of CNC-milled solid titanium Gr.5 Ti6AI4V finished with a layer of Marble Carbon Fiber. Chamfered cover edges eliminate sharp edges for comfortable grip. Solid backspacer provides rigidity and robustness to the overall construction. The single-position (right) deep carry clip allows the knife to be carried in the tip-up position, with the tip of the blade upwards. Above the clip a hole for threading a safety or decorative cord.
Carrying case - included zipped soft nylon case with manufacturer's logo for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
