14C28N - a martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by Sandvik's Swedish mills. An optimised chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance is significantly increased. Blade - Sheepsfoot blade with an incredibly sharp tip, coated with a black protective coating. The straight cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The small thickness of the blade, combined with the high, flat grind (Flat Grind), results in excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. To make the blade easier to control, a section of the back of the blade is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest.
Handle - tang with a large hole for attaching a paracord pendant, for example. At the bottom you will find a large, profiled finger bow. The simple, robust construction guarantees many years of use.
