VG-10 - a grade of tool-grade stainless alloy steel created in Japan specifically for making premium blades and knives. The steel recipe was created by Takefu Special Steel co. Ltd, whose headquarters are located in Takefu, Fukui Prefecture. Initially used in the production of kitchen knives, it quickly found use as an excellent material for utility blades. Due to import restrictions, almost all knives made of VG-10 steel are produced in Seki, Japan.
Blade - with a Leaf (leaf) profile with an extremely sharp tip. The full-length curved cutting edge provides exceptional cutting performance with full force, transferring power to the blade tip, guarantees better point strength. Made from VG-10 Japanese stainless steel, hardened between 59-61 HRC, the Plain blade is derived with a Full Flat Grind. The enlarged 14mm round SpyderHole cutout allows the blade to be opened even with a glove. A ramp on the back of the Blade positions the thumb, giving solid support and making it easier to operate the folder. Solid Blade Back-Lock.
Handle - bi-directional textured non-slip grips (Bi-Directional Texturing) along with notched notches on the back of the handle (Spine Jimping) strengthen the grip. Made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon), a fiberglass-reinforced nylon plastic. Solid metal hourglass clip with 4-way (up/down, right/left) 4-way clip positions. Lanyard hole for attaching a safety line.
Backbone - is reinforced by skeletonized stainless steel inserts with cut-out holes to which the Handle grips are attached. This provides high strength with low weight of the knife. The whole thing was bolted together with torx screws. Phosphor bronze washers make it easier to open and close the pocket knife.
