N690 - cobalt-rich 1.65% (Co) corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C) martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V). Developed to provide better wear resistance compared to the original Böhler N690 steel, but with higher cobalt (Co) content in its composition. It features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. Hardened in the range of 58-61 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - extremely sharp with Skinner profile, with clearly marked belly, ideal for all kinds of work. Finished in an elegant Stonewashed method. High flat grind (Flat Grind) gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The enlarged hilt protects the hand from slipping on the blade. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest.
Handle - grips made of beautiful olive wood with a unique pattern, screwed directly to the tang. They provide excellent ergonomics and a secure grip. A deep, profiled finger undercut (fore finger groove) prevents the hand from accidentally slipping on the blade. The Handle is finished with a finger ring (Back Ring). It prevents accidental release of the knife from the hand, work without putting down the knife, emergency can act as a hammer or glass breaker.
Sheath - made of leather, allows to carry horizontally, and thanks to two through rivets at the bottom, it can also be worn around the neck.
