14C28N - a martensitic chromium stainless steel - is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by Sandvik's Swedish mills. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price / quality category!

Blade - Drop Point type finished with a scratch-masking Stonewashed method. The curved cutting edge converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Phosphor bronze washers are responsible for the smooth operation of the blade's opening mechanism, allowing the knife to be opened with a large oval thumb stud. The whole thing is locked with the proven and popular frame lock.

Handle - presentation side made of G10, a virtually indestructible plastic that is insensitive to weather, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. Stainless steel lock side. Chamfered cover edges eliminate sharp edges for comfort and improve grip security. Characteristic of Jacob's designs large screws connecting the grips.
