N690 - corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with the addition of molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural uniformity. Features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. It achieves a hardness of 57-60 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - solid 6.3 mm thick with a long false blade. Drop point type blade with a wave-shaped edge (Revurve) providing above-average cutting properties, used in good tactical, survival, hunting knives, among others. The blade is finished with an elegant Satin finish. Plain blade was derived with a high flat grind (Flat grind). Projecting beyond the outline of the handle, the blade creates a protection against slipping of the hand on the blade during operation.
Handle - a choice of two handles. Classic, made of exotic Palisander Santos wood with a unique grain pattern. And tactical, made of Forprene thermoplastic elastomer (flexible return, softness, resistance to chemicals), guarantees a firm grip even with wet hands. On the back of the handle a textured ramp to improve grip stability. In the rear part, a hole (lanyard hole) for pulling a lanyard or safety line.
Sheath - beautiful, classic, made of top quality leather, includes a small pocket for a field mini sharpener or sharpening stone. On the side a flint holder.
