- Baby Banter Cuibourtia Wood, Black Stonewashed a smaller and lighter folder designed by Ben Petersen. It has many of the same thoughtful design elements as the full-size Banter original, but weighs less and is much less expensive!
Baby Banter Cuibourtia Wood, Black Stonewashed smaller and lighter than the full-size Banter folder E.D.C., designed by American traveler and knifemaker Ben Petersen. It has many of the same thoughtful design elements as the full-size Banter original, but fits in smaller pockets, weighs less and is much cheaper!
Ben Petersen came into contact with the knife industry in 2011, supplementing his college education with a casual job making YouTube videos. The vortex of the knife world drew him in and he spent the next eight years working full-time in the industry at a knife retailer and manufacturer. He dealt with thousands of knives, recording more than 1,000 knife videos and producing knife marketing content for the entire industry. During his travels, Ben developed a particular preference for knives, such as blades under 3 inches and a fondness for blue Handle grips in simple designs. After years of advertising other people's knives, Ben created his first EC design called "Banter." It is a thoughtful combination of all the features Ben loves in knives. When he's not working on knives, Ben spends most of his time backpacking, biking and exploring his home state of Utah with his wife and four children. And like him, they all like knives, too.
Civivi - a sub-brand of WE Knife, a company that produces knives of the highest global quality. Production takes place on the same production lines as WE, so the highest standard of assembly is maintained.
Nitro-V stainless chrome-based martensitic knife steel introduced by New Jersey Steel Baron (NJSB). The manufacturer used the existing superior AEB-L knife steel and upgraded it with nitrogen and vanadium to improve edge performance and achieve high hardness and extreme corrosion resistance, especially crucial in the marine industry and humid environments. Nitro V can be used in diving knives because of its resistance to staining and corrosion. The recommended working hardness is between 58-62HRC, and it has very good impact strength compared to other steels. It is harder than stainless powder steels such as M390, Elmax and S35VN. Therefore, Nitro-V will be a good fit for knives that require good strength.
Blade - Drop point with a clearly marked belly finished in Black Stone Washed method. The small thickness of the blade combined with a high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings support the smooth and smooth operation of the blade advancement mechanism, which can be opened with 6AL4V solid titanium Thumb Studs on both sides. Finger choil, an index finger undercut between the handle and the cutting edge, and an upper jimping notched section of the back of the blade for the thumb make it easier to control the knife. Nested Liner-Lock, a modification of the liner-lock by nesting the liner of the locking mechanism in the liner.
Handle - liners made of exotic Cuibourtia wood with a unique grain pattern. The open-backed design, so called, attached to each other with steel spacer sleeves, reduces weight and facilitates cleaning. The pivot axis is decorated with a stylized Civivi brand logo. A two-position left/right metal deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position (blade tip up). On the back of the handle lanyard hole, a hole for a cord.
Case - the knife is packed in a zippered soft nylon case with the manufacturer's logo for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
