Molletta), is distinguished by a new approach to the use of materials and experimentation in the application of heat treatment and the use of advanced software in knife design.
Niolox - a tool steel with good edge holding and high strength. It is hardened in the 58-60 HRC range. It is characterized by aggressive cutting and good impact strength. The name comes from the element niobium (Nb), one of the best carbides, which contributes to the steel's wear resistance. Niolox contains 0.7% of it. Easy to sharpen with moderate corrosion resistance, it contains 12.7% chromium. Manufactured by the German Lohmann steelworks.
Blade - massive Drop Point shape and 5 mm thick with a clearly marked belly of the cutting edge. Satin-smooth Plain blade derived with Full Flat Grind provides strength and tapering of the blade towards the hilt reduces weight improving the geometry of the cutting edge. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest.
Handle - covered with convex grip wraps made of Canvas Micarta, a pressure-pressed canvas plastic with synthetic resin. Profiled and 3D-machined for better ergonomics, they provide a secure grip. Enlarged protrusion acts as a gut protecting your hand from slipping on the blade. Attached with Torx T8 stainless steel screws, the facings can be removed to make the knife into an improvised spear.
Sheath - extended, protecting the blade along with part of the handle. Made of natural brown leather with embossed manufacturer's logo. Fastened with a Prym type snap. The holster is stitched on the edges with decorative thread. Attaching to a belt or to a belt equipment allows carrying the knife in an upright position.
