AISI 440A (American Iron and Steel Institute) - easy-to-sharpen stainless knife steel, equivalent to Japanese AUS-6 steel. High content of 16.0% chromium and average 0.6% carbon provide excellent corrosion resistance. The presence of <1.0% silicon and <0.75% molybdenum increase the steel's strength and wear resistance. 440A has a high hardness in the 55-59 HRC range.
Blade - sharp Drop Point blade with a thickness of 4.6 mm. Made of easy-to-sharpen 440A stainless steel, characterized by high resistance to corrosion additionally coated with a gray protective coating. Plain blade with light recurve, derived with concave grind (Hollow Grind), providing excellent cutting properties. A false blade on the back of the blade supports the knife's piercing ability. At the handle upper jimping, notched thumb rest.
Handle - made of plastic with a rough texture. This prevents the handle from slipping in the hand even when wet, and the fore finger groove improves grip security.
