D2 - a blade made of high carbon tool steel. With a high 10-13% chromium content, it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge retention and easy sharpening. It is characterized by high hardness in the range of 59-61 HRC and resistance to abrasion.
Blade - clip point type, finished with masking scratches using Black Stonewashed technique. Elongated tip extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade, converging towards a needle-sharp tip of the knife. The Hollow Grind provides powerful slicing performance while the aggressively hollowed clip point is suitable for piercing and precision work. Ceramic ball bearings aid in opening the blade with a thumb cutout or quick flipper flipper (index-finger flipper). Finger choil, index-finger notch facilitates use during precision tasks. All locked with proven liner lock.
Handle - milled G10 plastic with imitation bolster and deep textured facings for comfort grip and appearance, attached to stainless steel liners. Simple, solid construction gives assurance of many years of use. Backspacer and handle covers of gray G10 plastic. Pivot axis with stylized Civivi brand logo. Two-position metal left/right deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up position. Exposed liners on head with enlarged hole for lanyard attachment.
