CJH - a sub-brand of C.Jul. Herbertz GmbH a legend in the world of knives with an excellent reputation. The name refers to the company's founder. Carl Julius Herbertz founded the company in 1868 in the city of Solingen, which has been the center of German knife and cutting tool manufacturing since the Middle Ages.
AISI 420 (American Iron and Steel Institute) martensitic stainless steel rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, which offers high hardenability in the 54-56 HRC range as well as strength, toughness, machinability and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds for wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools, knife blades and medical instruments.
Blade - Dagger type coated with glare eliminating, black BT (Black Teflon) protective coating. The small thickness of the blade, combined with a high concave grind, gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The pads support the smooth operation of the opening mechanism of the wedge, which can be opened with a quick flipper flipper (index-finger flipper). On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest. The whole is locked with a solid liner lock.
Handle - ABS plastic facings in black attached to a steel skeleton dyed blue. Both sides in an attractive form of Celtic knot.
