C.Jul. Herbertz GmbH, a legendary company in the knife world with an excellent reputation. The name refers to the founder of the company. Carl Julius Herbertz founded the company in 1868 in the city of Solingen, which has been the center of German knife and cutting tool manufacturing since the Middle Ages.
AISI 420 - stainless steel rich in carbon, containing min. 12% chromium. In the annealed condition it has good formability and excellent corrosion resistance. AISI 420 grade has the highest hardness of all stainless steels with 12% chromium - 50 HRC.
Blade - Drop Point type covered with titanium protective coating decorated with deer graphic. Small thickness of the blade in combination with high, concave grind gives the perfect geometry of the cutting edge and extreme cutting efficiency. Ball bearings support the smooth operation of the opening mechanism of the blade, which can be opened with a thumb stud or quick flipper (index-finger flipper). The whole is locked with a solid liner lock.
Handle - olive wood facings and steel bolsters protected by titanium coating, mounted to steel frame. Chamfered cover edges eliminate sharp edges for a comfortable and secure grip. Distinctive Finger Groove arched undercut for index finger makes the knife easier to control. Single-position (right) metal deep carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-down position. The back of the handle features a lanyard hole, a hole for a safety or decorative cord.
