9Cr18MoV - Chinese high grade stainless knife steel blade, easy to sharpen. High content of 18.0% chromium and average 0.95% carbon provides excellent corrosion resistance. The presence of 0.8% silicon and 1.3% molybdenum increases steel strength and wear resistance. 9Cr18MoV is characterized by high hardness in the range of 58-60 HRC.
Blade - satin drop point type. Elongated belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade, converging towards a needle sharp tip of the knife. Low blade thickness combined with a high Hollow Grind provides excellent cutting characteristics combined with high durability. Steel ball bearings aid in the smooth opening of the blade, which can be opened with an index-finger flipper that acts as a deicer when opened. To maintain full control of the blade, the back of the blade is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest. The whole is locked with a solid liner lock.
