SlipJoint - a non-locking mechanism used in folders. Uses spring pressure on a flat notch on the back of the blade to hold the blade open during use. Force is required to fold the knife. The SlipJoint holds the blade in both the folded and unfolded positions.
LC200N - (also known as Z-Flint) ultra corrosion resistant modern high nitrogen martensitic tool steel. Quite hard 60 HRC, it provides a combination of excellent strength, edge holding, chipping resistance and extreme corrosion resistance. Produced by combining the PESR (pressurized electric slag remelting) process and smart forging technology, resulting in an incredible increase in steel purity and a very fine, uniform microstructure. Used by NASA for aerospace ball bearings, among others. Contains 0.3% carbon, 15% chromium, 0.5% nitrogen, 0.95% molybdenum, 0.5% nickel and 1.0% manganese. Manufactured by ZAPP.

The flat grind guarantees perfect geometry of the cutting edge with a sharp tip, reduces the weight of the knife and presents a beautiful satin finish. The SpyderHole circular cutout (Spyderco patent) has increased ramp support hump that positions the thumb directly over the hole making it easier to quickly open the blade with cold or wet hands. The notched support: thumb ramp (spine jimping) and (finger choil jimping), index finger notch between the handle and the cutting edge make it easier to control the knife.
Handle - in bright Marine Yellow color which makes it easy to find. Facings made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon). Folder is equipped with a wire, screw-on clip (left/right) that allows you to carry the knife in tip-down position.
